We are an experimental research group in condensed matter physics. We are interested in exploring and synthesizing new bulk materials, including strongly correlated electronic systems, topological insulators, and novel thermoelectric materials.

Research Interests

1.strongly correlated electronic system materials
2.Topological insulator materials
3.novel thermoelectric materials
4.Superconductors

Recent work explores several novel quantum materials:

  • Ce-based Compounds:

    • A giant anomalous Hall effect driven by flat bands in CeFe2.

    • The realization of a ferromagnetic Kondo lattice state and a significantly enhanced anomalous  Hall effect in         CeCo2As2.

  • RE M6X6 Kagome Systems (YbV6Sn6, YbCr6Ge6):

    • YbV6Sn6 is a canonical heavy fermion material. Through thermodynamic and transport measurements under magnetic fields, we discovered magnetic-field-induced quantum critical behavior.

    • YbCr6Ge6 exhibits stronger magnetic interactions. Comparative magnetization studies revealed the significant influence of Cr magnetism on its ferrimagnetic state.

    • YbMn6Sn6:Intrinsic mechanism for unusually high anomalous Hall conductivity vs. other RMn6Sn6

  • TbTi3Bi4

We identified TbTi3Bi4 as a quasi-one-dimensional Ising magnet with an antiferromagnetic ground state, exhibiting     striking 1/3 magnetization plateaus under applied magnetic fields.

  • Na2Ni3S4

Topological flat bands from rotated dxz orbitals (C3 + T symmetry)
